AFSCME ORGANIZING DRIVE DRAWING to WIN A Grand Prize trip for two!!!

Starting April 15, 2005 AFSCME WV Council 77 will give away an expense paid* vacation for two (2) to Las Vegas, Orlando or Washington DC, with the drawing from among the eligible existing and new members who have participated in this drive. The drawing will be publicly held this fall (2005) in conjunction with the planned "Special Session" described in this month's issue of the Council 77 newsletter, AFSCME WV Organizer.

Membership cards are available by calling or writing to the Council above, by using the form on page 4 of the April newsletter announcing this contest or by using the form on the above website by clicking 'Join AFSCME'.

Your name, address and phone number on a newly signed card for new members or contained in the Council's database for existing members will be used to contact you if you are the lucky winner! Existing members who assist in the signing of a new member should make sure their name is clearly printed on the back or edge of the new member's membership application. Every additional new member signed up by an existing member increases the number of chances to win in the drawing (exp. 10 new members signed by a current member gives that member 10 chances in the drawing box and each of the new members has one chance each).

*The paid vacation for two includes airfare and lodging for a four (4) night period arraigned by Council 77 based on the winner's preferred location through CheapTickets.com or similar travel service and may require a Saturday night stayover and certain number of days advance for ticket purchasing. Fifty dollars ($50.00) per day per diem (for meals and incidentals) total for this period will be paid to the winner prior to departure. The four (4) night period may be extended by the winner for a longer vacation at their own additional expense. An amount equal to the discount airfare may be provided in lieu of the airfare to a winner who prefers to utilize ground or alternative transportation. The winner must use their own accumulated vacation/leave time for this vacation and all contest rule interpretation is at the sole discretion of AFSCME Council 77.

Awards to the top Local Union and top two members who recruit the most new members will be tabulated by Council 77. The winners will be notified soon after the Grand Prize drawing.
