ACT Now
Emergency Campaign for America's Priorities

October 11, 2005

It's shocking that in the wake of Katrina, Congress is actually planning to make deep cuts to vital programs such as Medicaid, food stamps and housing -- and give $70 billion in tax breaks for the wealthy.

Please join us and tell Congress to get their priorities straight by clicking here to join the online march for America's priorities.

Click here to join the online march. You'll add your sign to this map. Together, we'll show politicians that we demand they get their priorities straight and put families first!
Across the country people are taking action by placing a sign with their message on the online march map. It's easy to do and we need you to go online and join the campaign now.

Congress needs to see that what they are doing is wrong for America's families. They haven't been listening, so now we'll show them that across the country Americans demand they:

  • Stop giving tax breaks to the wealthy.

  • Oppose cuts to vital public programs that families need such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, education, and housing.

  • Rebuild our crumbling schools, hospitals, and highways.

  • Support affordable health care for all.

So don't wait, go online and pick your march sign to add to the map. You'll show elected officials that people from all over America, in every city and voting district, are joining together to oppose cuts to public services and more tax breaks for the wealthy.

Then, on October 18, your message and name will be sent as part of a massive day of action to President Bush and Congress to get their priorities straight. We'll show them by our numbers that it's time to pass a budget that puts America's families first.

Thanks for taking action today -- and for sending this on to your friends who know that America's families are the first priority!

In solidarity,

Tracey Conaty
