Don't Rubber Stamp Excessive CEO Pay
In 2004 after the mutual fund market timing scandal that hurt investors, the SEC enacted a rule requiring that mutual funds be run by an independent chairperson and a majority of independent directors. Now, in the face of industry pressure, the SEC is considering going back on this rule. Send a letter to SEC Chairman Christopher Cox. Tell him to support an independent chair on mutual fund boards.
