'Meet & Consult' Committee has its 3rd meeting

The members of the Highways 'Meet & Consult' Committee had its 3rd meeting today (2/5/08).  An approved form for employee input is available here. At today's committee meeting, DOT Secretary Paul Mattox greeted the committee members and wished them well in their efforts to produce recommendations and proposals for him to review. The members heard from a top labor lobbyist about issues and bills being pushed or slowed down by AFSCME and other AFL-CIO unions.

The four hour meeting in Charleston was adjourned after good discussions on the issues of pay, seniority, overtime and making highways a more productive agency for the citizens of West Virginia and a better place to work.
